14 December 2019 - 7:00pm

Handel’s Messiah is one of the greatest choral works ever written. It tells the story of Jesus Christ using familiar texts assembled from the Bible and the Book of Common Prayer. Handel’s response to these words is truly sublime, from the calm of the Pastoral Symphony, through the heartfelt I know that my redeemer liveth, to the Heaven-storming Hallelujah Chorus. Christmas just isn’t Christmas without it.
