Lockdown rehearsals continue with the autumn season in mind
After joining together to produce a lockdown rendition of Rachmaninoff’s Bogoroditse Dyevo, we are working on another piece, which will include instruments as well as voices!
We are excited to be working on learning our new commission The Tin Soldier by Jonathan Dove, with words by Ian McMillan. We hope to perform this alongside Mozart’s Mass in C Minor in November 2020. However we of course continue to monitor the situation with regards to future concerts and rehearsals.
At our weekly rehearsals, as well as singing, we have been having chats in smaller groups, and recently held a brilliant quiz with questions from some of our members and friends.
Our collaboration with Bournemouth Symphony Chorus to sing Richard Blackford’s Pietà and Fauré’s Requiem is now planned for Summer 2021, and we are very much looking forward to visiting Winchester and making new friends.
