Although all our concerts were cancelled, along with our normal communal rehearsals, Leeds Festival Chorus continued to rehearse safely online by Zoom every week throughout the Covid period. With the expertise and guidance of our Artistic Adviser and Conductor Simon Wright and brilliant accompanist and techie Rebecca Taylor, we have managed to keep our voices in something approaching singing form, practising works which we may very well sing together when we resume normal concerts (see our concerts page and the details below!)
We have now resumed communal rehearsals (with appropriate Covid precautions) for these concerts. We shall be delighted to welcome our friends and supporters again, as well as anyone who'd like to find out more about joining us.
We have two concerts in October:
York Barbican, A Night at The Opera with York Guildhall Orchestra, 16th October 7:30pm
Leeds Town Hall, Mahler's 2nd Symphony with the Orchestra of Opera North and Leeds Philharmonic Chorus, 31st October 6pm
